
Dr Adanze is a public health researcher passionate about decolonizing global health systems, universal health coverage and translating research products into actionable policy knowledge products. Her areas of interest also include health education and policy, particularly in the Global South, and evidence-based research advocacy. She has had experience working in the health sectors in the East, West and Central African regions with a particular focus on health advocacy
She earned an MPH from the University of Buea in 2018 and a PhD at Dokuz Eylul University (2024). Dr Adanze has collaborated with various organizations on research and advocacy initiatives and has published in several peer-reviewed journals.
Adanze runs the “Sankofa Career Accelerator Program” which kicked off in 2024, where she mentors young public health graduates and emerging health professionals, leveraging her expertise in strategic planning, qualitative & quantitative research, and community health advocacy.
She is also the founder of Sankofa Research and Mentorship Hub, an African-orientated, evidence-based, interdisciplinary research organization that has as vision ‘An Africa where locally led research and indigenous knowledge systems shape policy and influence global discourse’
I understand the unique challenges faced by local communities and am committed to advocating for contextualized solutions tailored to African needs and therefore aim to inspire a new generation of global healthcare leaders to reconnect to their roots and develop innovative solutions that resonate with African communities.
