As a passionate supporter of community public health, teaching people about health at the local level is always both fun and educational for me. Working in rural areas makes you appreciate public health more, and participating in this project which was funded by El Bene Hospital and Rotary, was an unforgettable experience. I coordinated volunteers to conduct hepatitis B screenings, and the attendees’ blood pressures were measured. The significance of these tests was explained to participants.
