As a distinguished panelist at the esteemed Pan African Health Conference, i brought forth invaluable insights on the pivotal role NGOs can play in the collective pursuit of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Drawing from my extensive experience, i underscored the importance of strategic collaborations between NGOs and governments, leveraging the unique strengths and resources of each sector to address complex health challenges holistically. I compellingly articulated how NGOs’ grassroots reach, community-driven approaches, and innovative solutions can complement and strengthen government efforts, ultimately enhancing access, affordability, and quality of healthcare for all, particularly marginalised and underserved populations.
