Water, sanitation, and hygiene-related diseases such as cholera and typhoid are common in Cameroonian schools, particularly in primary and secondary levels. I led the IHO team in a WASH campaign at a primary school in mile 17, where we taught students how to properly hand wash. We also left notes and placards to remind people how to properly wash their hands. Students and teachers alike received education. At the end of the exercise, we donated liquid hand soap and buckets.
